She is the best of Revenant Dreams and she has never won the award. I think she's a lock. If Revenant Dreams makes the Best Picture shortlist she may pull off a win. With another nomination she will join the group of actors with the most nominations, 4.
2. Marion Cotillard, Once a Queen.
She is a strong contender for Best Casting Choice. She's the lead in one of the better reviewed baits of the month, plus the character screams oscar. If Revenant Dreams is not well recieved by the Academy I think she can win.
3. Samantha Morton, Realm of the Bird
Realm of the Bird is the hit of the month, so she has half of the way walked. I think she's right now a very safe bet. If she wins the Golden Globe Musical/Comedy over Bernadette Peters she will be a lock.
4. Bernadette Peters, Mame
She is the same position as Samantha Morton, if she wins the Globe over her, she'll be a lock. The thing is that her film wasn't as well recieved as Morton's.
5. Maria Bello, The Almost Moon
I don't think she stands a chance to win, even though right now she's the safest bet for the fifth spot.
